The Fish Are Biting on the Outer Banks!
Posted by Brindley Beach Vacations and Sales | Friday, October 30, 2015

Puppy Drum--one of the fish that Outer Banks anglers are landing.

Let’s go fishing!

Suddenly the fish are back. Reports coming in from the Outer Banks piers, the surf and inshore charters all tell the same story. Grab that pole, get some bait on it and see what’s hitting.

The seas have been kind of rough, so nothing off shore right now, but other that that, everyone is reporting good action.

Out in the surf sea mullet, puppy drum, small trout and blues are running. There should be some red drum showing up as well and may have been some landed but haven’t made the reports.

Inshore and off the at the Nags Head/Manteo causeway look for stripers and trout—nothing too big, but still fun to catch. Anyone heading south to the Oregon Inlet Bridge catwalk, there have been reports of sheepshead and bluefish running.

All of the piers are reporting some of the best action of the fall with trout, some red drum and bluefish. Sea mullet is what really seems to be running right now though.

Up north in Corolla, they’re reporting puppy drum, bluefish and sea mullet.

The weather is looking good for the next week. The seas should calm down so there should be some off shore action as well coming up soon.
