We had a lovely time on vacation here. The house is very family friendly with lots to keep the kids busy. I really liked that the kids could have their own space but there's plenty of room for dining or watching TV for larger groups. We loved the hottub and pool and left with wonderful memories and feeling very relaxed.

If you're looking for a place on the outer banks where two families can share a relaxing week, this is it! The open floor plan allows everyone to spread out but enjoy each others company. Three minutes to the beach, which is busy in the high season, but never over-crowded. And the kids always enjoy continuing to swim in the pool when they want a break from the salt and sand. The beach, the pool, a basketball hoop, board games, ping pongand DVDs are at your disposal. Golf (mini and regular), go-karts, kayaking and a light house are within 10 minutes of the house. So you don't need to go back to the craziness and congestion of the main drag (where the mile markers are), but if you want, you can get there easily too.

We have enjoyed staying here about a half dozen times and we keep coming back! As others have noted, it is well kept, quiet etc. It is a short walk to the beach from here and there are plenty of items provided in the beach closet such as beach chairs, sand toys for kids etc. There is a terrific patio area with pool, grill, and table and chairs so you can enjoy meals by the pool. For the early risers, the 2nd floor deck is a relaxing, quiet place place to hang out in one of the Adirondack chairs with a cup of coffee and a good book. There's also a hot tub on the 2nd floor deck, likewise great for relaxing! This is a very family-friendly house that is perfect for two families with kids to stay or an extended family with grandparents, etc.. The house has lots of board games, a rec room with ping pong table, outdoor basketball hoop, etc so you don't need to bring a ton of stuff for kids to do. There is also a big yard with plenty of space for them to run around, play frisbee or other games. The open plan kitchen/living area is great for cooking, hanging out, etc. and there is a big screen tv and a big sectional sofa, perfect for lounging and watching a movie in the evening. The location is wonderful, only about a mile from the new Harris Teeter for grocery shopping and it's not far to drive to other restaurants in Corolla. The Brindley Beach management is very responsible and was pleasant and easy to work with and the owners clearly take good care of this property.

good size, nice amenities and furnishings, lovely piece of property that although the house was facing the main road, it was set back far enough that there was no noise or headlights to contend with.
