Corolla as one of the top ten luxury destinations in the U.S.? Maybe it’s because we live here, but it’s hard to imagine.
There’s plenty of luxury here. Wonderful homes with all the amenities just waiting for a family to stop by.
But there’s something about pairing Corolla, with it’s wonderful beaches, beautiful sunsets and wild horses with the Hamptons of New York, or Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, that just seems…odd.
The ranking is part of an article Hometogo did looking at a number of vacation lists.
Corolla is ranked at the sixth spot, just above Martha’s Vineyard and one below Avalon, NJ. According to Hometogo a stay in Corolla costs an average of $657.60.
Although the article is really an overview that doesn’t have a very much detail, there are a couple of interesting observations they have.
Some Interesting Observations
They note, as an example, that early bookings this year are way up—30% up.
That has some very real implications for our Outer Banks visitors in general, as well as our luxury guests planning on staying in Corolla.
Contributing to the overall trend in very strong early bookings, travel to foreign countries is going to be very difficult certainly through May and probably June. And travel restrictions may extend well into the summer.
The message is simple…Get those reservations in. Especially this year when we’re seeing buyers purchasing homes and taking them out of the rental program. It’s not a flood of activity but it is more than in past years.
There is also a trend toward destinations that offer an outdoor experience. We saw that last year, and there is very little doubt that the trend is continuing this year. That underscores how important it is to get that reservation in.
It is important to note that, although the Hometogo article looks only at Corolla, here at Brindley Beach Vacations has homes in the best location from Nags Head to Corolla.
