CrabDaddy is back. The annual all you can eat festival of all things crab is coming up next weekend at Sanctuary Vineyards in Jarvisburg.
It’s happening Saturday, September 21 under the tall pines on the north end of the Cotton Gin just 11 miles north of the Outer Banks.
Just to be clear, though, CrabDaddy is more than just steamed crabs. It’s eastern North Carolina barbecue from a local pitmaster. And wine from Sanctuary Vineyards. And local microbreweries pouring their beers.
Mostly…it’s a great time.
Along with all the food, there’s music from Almost Everything, Roots of a Rebellion and Twen. And like all events at Sanctuary Vineyards and the Cotton Gin, CrabDaddy is very family friendly with hayrides all day and plenty of room for children to roam safely.
A Favorite Event with Fun Activities
This is one of our favorite events of the year. The grape stomping competition has to be seen to be truly appreciated. Or better yet, enter and discover for yourself the joy of muscadine grapes being squished for juice between your toes. And that’s just one of a number of CrabDaddy Olympic competitions.
Tickets are $40—probably want to get them soon. The event does sell out. And the admission price includes a special edition CrabDaddy wineglass, all you can eat crabs and barbecue, music, beer, wine…al in a beautiful setting. Doors open at noon and everything wraps up by 6:00.
The event is a rain or shine event. The forecast right looks good for next Saturday, but if it does rain, everything moves indoors to Sanctuary Vineyards. Be there…it’s a great time.
CrabDaddy is just one of a many great events happening this fall on the Outer Banks. Spend a week or two with Brindley Beach Vacations and discover what life on a sandbar is all about.
