The weather won’t be perfect Sunday for the 5th Annual Mustang Music Spring Jam, but it does look as though the rains are going to hold off.
The Mustang Music festivals always promise some great music and this year is no exception. The headliner this year is People’s Blues of Richmond, and for anyone who saw them perform on an undercard at the fall Mustang Music Festival. . . there is no doubt about why they’re the headliner.
Tight, musically gifted with a driving beat, these guys put on a great show.
Featuring trumpet, sax, guitar, keyboard and bass, Major and the Monbacks have a sound reminiscent of Chicago—for anyone who remembers the group. A full, rich sound, the brass and sax add a lot of texture to the music.
A day filled with music, the Spring Jam begins with No Clue and High Maintenance—two groups from Ruth Wyand’s Mustang Music Outreach program. The kids range in age from 10 to 15 or 16 and they are great. These are really the budding stars of tomorrow.
The Mustang Spring Jam benefits fits the Mustang Music Outreach Program and the Corolla Wild Horse Fund.
Held at Mike Diana’s Grill Room in Timback II Shopping Village in Corlla, the music begins at 2:00 p.m. and is scheduled until 10:00.
