Here it is almost May on the Outer Banks and the entertainment scene is really heating up. So much so that we can’t even list everything that going to be happening.
Almost every nightclub and bar on the Outer Banks has some live music now, and by the summer that’s going to be just about a nightly thing.
May is sort of a prelude to what can be expected when the peak season comes, and looking over the what is on tap of this month, the Outer Banks summer of 2017 may be the best in years.
Two shows in particular we know will be great—HMS Pinafore presented by the New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players on May 7 and the Mustang Music Spring Jam on May Sunday May 21.
The Mustang Music Spring Jam is always a great time and this year with Big Something and London Souls headlining, it’s looking better than ever. The local bands that are going to by playing are outstanding as well—Zack Mexico and the Ramble especially are worth a listen.
Including everything that’s coming up this month just isn't possible, so we’re listing some of the highlights. But our highlights don’t include shows at some of the most popular night spots, so check out their websites for nightly entertainment.
