There’s a full slate of activities guaranteed to turn the meekest, most mild child into a swashbuckling scallywag. Why there’s even a Scallywag School where the important things for a pirate to know are taught—how to talk like a pirate, sword drills, musket drills. Those rapscallion teachers may even throw in some real information, like the true history of Blackbeard the Pirate and maybe a bit of shipboard line handling.
They’ll even set up camp and give the kids a taste of what real pirate life was like 300 years ago. Let the kids find out what 18th century medical practices were really like, learn about weapons and tactics, games, cooking, blacksmith sword making and more.
There’s even a canon demonstration, just in case the captain of yonder ship doesn’t get the message he’s suppose to heave to.
The big finale is Pirates of the Caribbean, sponsored by Movies on the Sound with Children @ Play Museum right there at Kitty Hawk Kites.
