It’s great having back to back events. Last weekend it was all about music with the Mustang Music Festival and Duck Jazz and this Saturday it’s all about fresh North Carolina seafood.

This is the fourth year for the Outer Banks Seafood Festival at the Event Site in Nags Head.  The story hasn’t been written for this year yet, but it has gotten better each year—a little more organization, a few more things to do.

The festival is all about the seafood heritage of the Outer Banks and there is fresh local seafood prepared by local chefs and restaurants in every manner imaginable. It truly does become a celebration of local history, culture and cuisine.

The festival, though, is more than great food. Live music plays all day; there are food demonstrations and enough artisans and local vendors to occupy an afternoon.

Gates open at 10:45 with the show ending at 6:00. There is no parking at the site. Closest parking is at Tanger Outlet Mall and a lot of festival goers walk to the site from there.

Parking lots with shuttle service are located at :
