We have one more day of good surf along the Outer Banks, then a couple of days of waiting to see what Florence does. Right now the forecast call for her to pass to the south of us, but we’ll know more in another day.
In the meantime, anyone thinking about getting a fix for their surfing mojo, check out Surfalorous next Thursday, Friday and Saturday .
Sponsored by the Dare County Arts Council (DCAC), it’s a film festival that’s all about surfing.
The locations move around a bit—Thursday it’s two shorts and a feature length movie at Jennette’s Pier in Nags head. Friday it’s all shorts with a chance for the audience to choose their favorite at the DCAC Gallery in Manteo. And Saturday the show moves to the Outer Banks Brewing Station for two one hour films.
The Saturday viewing will wrap up with Manteo High School Senior Logan Marshall’s movie, Outer. The movie premiered in July and it is a movie worth seeing.
