Here’s something coming up at the Whalehead Club in Corolla tomorrow that could be a lot of fun for couples with marriage plans. The Outer Banks Wedding Association is having a mixer at the same time as Whalehead Wednesdays will be happening.
The day starts though, with the Lighthouse 5K from Runcations. An easy run over a level course, the race kicks off every Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m.
Whalehead Wednesdays are from 3-7 every Wednesday (obviously) and it’s a great chance to listen to live music and try some local wines with Sanctuary Vineyards and Vineyard on the Scuppernong on hand.
It’s a beautiful setting and with a great sampling of what Outer Banks wedding vendors can offer on hand, it a fantastic opportunity for couples to check out the wedding possibilities.
In addition to the local wines, some of the wedding vendors will be bringing wines from around the world. There will be food samples from some the finest chefs on the Outer Banks, wedding planners will be on hand and a number of photographers are planning on attending as well.
The Whalehead Club does allow weddings on its grounds and the setting is one of the most picturesque on the Outer Banks. Because it is so popular, couples hoping to use the ground do need to plan at least six months into the future.
