In Spite of Ourselves (Formerly Senza Fretta), is the perfect setting for a peaceful vacation on Hatteras Island! This home is filled with amenities such as multilevel decks, a screened-in porch with sound views, a 6-person hot tub, Roku Smart TVs in every bedroom, and you are only 400 yards to the beach. This 4-bedroom, 3 full bath, and 2 half bath home is sure to please the entire group!

Ground Level: Outside the home, you will find an outdoor shower, a fish cleaning table, and a carport and driveway that accommodates up to 4 vehicles. As you make your way into the home from the carport, the lower level is great for hanging out or enjoying a game of coffee table foosball. This bonus space offers a 42" flat screen Smart TV, comfy chairs, a half bath, and a high-top table that seats 4.

Mid Level: As you make your way to the middle level, you will find 3 spacious bedrooms each with access to the covered decks and Roku TVs, two full bathrooms, and a laundry closet. Bedroom #1 is furnished with a Queen bed. Bedroom #2 is furnished with two Twin bunk beds. Bedrooms #1 and #2 share a full bathroom off the hallway. The final bedroom on this level is Bedroom # 3, a comfortable Queen bedroom with a private attached full bathroom and direct access to the covered hot tub deck!

Top Level: Entering the open concept Great Room, you are greeted by vaulted ceilings, a cozy sitting area with a flat screen TV, a well-equipped kitchen, and a dining area. The kitchen has everything the cook in the family will need to prepare your favorite meal, spacious countertops, and a breakfast bar that seats 4. Step out to the screened-in porch and relax in the 6-person hot tub or stargaze from the wrap around sun deck with ocean and sound views. Directly off the Great Room you will find the expansive King primary bedroom, bedroom # 4, boasting a large ensuite bath with a Jacuzzi tub and direct ocean facing deck access.

Extras: Private hot tub, 6 Roku TVs, WiFi, charcoal grill, Keurig, outside shower, covered decks, sun decks, hammock, deck furniture, foosball table, pack-n-play, and parking for 4 vehicles. No Smoking. No Pets. Distance to beach access: 1,200 feet. Beds: 1 King, 2 Queens, 2 Twin Bunk Beds. Key Type: Keyless entry. Check In Location: At property.

Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

A lovely place to stay and served all of the needs of our five person family (2 adults and 3 middle school aged children). House was very clean and house rules were very reasonable. Loved having a working hot tub, and beach access close enough to walk. Very appreciative of the great staff at Shore Details that made this last minute family getaway possible!

Our group of 7 greatly enjoyed our stay at 'Senza Fretta'. The multiple levels, spacious deck space, and private rooms ensured plenty of room and opportunity to gather together or do our own thing. Easy walk to the beach, and outdoor enclosed shower made cleaning up sand a breeze. Thanks for making our stay special.

This house was a wonderful spot for my family and my parents to stay at. There were 9 of us all together and that was a good number. The house was spacious enough for us to be together or be alone as we needed to. We stayed for two weeks. We love the proximity to the beach and the relatively quiet town of Waves. Waves has a few decent restaurants but other than that it’s pretty quiet. Not too commercial. This house had a few spots that needed some updating, but that didn’t bother us any. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was a nice added feature.

We loved our stay at Senza Fretta! Great layout and perfect location with easy access to restaurants and other shops. Only a short walk to the beach! The house was well equipped and spotless! We enjoyed sunrise walks on the beach, breakfast on the top deck and ending the day in the hot tub. We'll be back!

Fantastic house, with plenty of space for everyone. Loved the proximity to the beach, as well as the bay for smaller and less experienced swimmers. House was very clean, and maintenance was very quick and responsive when there was an issue.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Senza Fretta. The house was more than enough room for 4 adults and 3 kids (age 5 to 7). The house is a short walk away from the beach - it took us about 10 minutes to get our toes in the water with the kids. The location is perfect - away from the hustle and bustle of Nags Head and convenient to places to eat, grab some groceries and even surf/swim gear. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, pots and pans, plates, bowls and glasses. We were able to cook meals every day for the family. The space on 3 levels is superb and the kids really enjoyed having their own space to play. Beds were comfy, and neighborhood was quiet. We look forward to our next stay here.
