This home is a great vacation spot for the small family within walking distance of the beach, shopping, restaurants and ice cream for the kids, or the kid in you! This home is the third home back from the beach and just a short walk to the beach access. Recent upgrades included freshly painted wood paneling and new tile flooring in the kitchen, great room, dining area and hallway and new bedding and pillows for all bedrooms.

2018 Upgrades included remodeled bathrooms and new flooring and the addition of a TV in the Master Bedroom.

Ground Level: Covered carport, outside enclosed shower, charcoal grill and parking for 4.

Top Level: Entry level from deck with ocean view. Great room with TV/DVD, kitchen with breakfast bar seating 3, dining area seating 4-6 and a screened porch with picnic table. Master Bedroom with a Double Bed, flat-screen TV and private bathroom, Bedroom with 2 Single Beds, Bedroom with a Double Bed and a full hall bathroom. Hallway access to the West side deck.

Extras: 2 TV, DVD player, high-speed wireless internet, parking for 3 cars, sun deck, enclosed outside shower, screened porch and deck furniture. No Smoking. DOGS WELCOME. Distance to beach access: 1100'. Beds: 2 Doubles, 2 Singles. House Address: 3721 Hallett Street, Kitty Hawk. Key Type: Hard Key (must pick up keys from check-in office). CHECK IN LOCATION: 3719 N. Croatan Hwy, Kitty Hawk Office.

Linens and towels are NOT provided but can be rented for the week. Linen and towel rental will include sheets for all beds, 2 bath towels per person the house sleeps, 1 wash cloth per person, 2 hand towels per bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub. Linens can be requested as early as time of booking. Weekly cost: $145.00 not including tax or bed making service.

This home does NOT offer beach chairs or washer and dryer on site.

Kitty Hawk offers a unique and relaxing environment for the entire family with its rich history and traditions. Consisting of a traditional village, beach community with residential homes and a large maritime forest reserve, you will share in the feeling that development should remain on a human scale and in harmony with nature.

The origin of the name Kitty Hawk is still a matter of local debate but most people agree that it’s a Native American name for this area meaning “a time or place to hunt geese.” The word originally appeared on English settlers maps in the early 1700’s as "Chickehawk" or "Chickahawk". By the late 1700's, old land deeds referred to these settlements as "Kittyhuk", "Kittyhark", “KittyHawk” and “Kitty Hawk”, which is how the local residents spell the name as we do today.
