True to its name, Duneside sits atop the dune with views of both the ocean and the sound. The tasteful and delightfully decorated home has a recently renovated and enlarged kitchen with stainless steel appliances and marble counter tops. Master bedroom has a private deck with amazing ocean and sound views. The beach is just a 2 minute walk away and the town of Duck is an easy walk or bike ride.

Ground Level: Parking area, outside shower, storage room and carport entry.

Mid Level: Great room with a flat-screen TV/VCR/DVD, newly renovated & enlarged kitchen with breakfast bar seating 2, dining area seating 8 with deck access, Queen Bedroom with flat-screen TV, Bedroom with 2 Singles and TV/DVD, full hall bath, laundry area with washer, dryer and sink.

Top Level: Queen Master Bedroom with flat-screen TV, private deck access with ocean views, Bedroom with 2 Singles, full bathroom and a loft with foosball table.

Extras: 4 TVs, 1 DVD player, VCR, charcoal grill, high-speed wireless internet access, outside shower, picnic table, books, games and linens and towels provided. Electric car charger: NEMA- 1450 (240 volts- 50 amps). No Smoking. No Pets. Full week rentals only. Distance to beach access: 300'. House Address: 125 Spyglass Road. Beds: 2 Queens, 4 Singles. Key Type: Keyless entry. CHECK IN LOCATION: 1213-C Duck Road, Duck Office.

Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

This home does NOT offer community pool, community tennis or a land line telephone.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Very nice comfortable home with short access to the beach and an easy bike ride to the town. Peaceful, quiet community. Home is well taken care of with nice upgrades. Great place for a smaller family.

We really enjoyed our week at this property. The home is comfortable and very nicely decorated. The kitchen and at least two of the bathrooms appear to have been renovated somewhat recently. The kitchen was also nicely stocked with most pots, pans, cooking utensils, and even storage containers that we needed. The thing we all enjoyed most was the great two-level deck, with views of the ocean from chairs and a table seating area. The views from the main room were nice too. The property is just a short walk to the ocean, which was convenient.

Outer Banks: Sea Ridge

Osprey & Sea Ridge are within walking distance to dining or take a bike ride into town and enjoy the quaint shops in Duck Village. These peaceful oceanside communities are just north of the half-mile stretch of open dunes of the Army Corp property.

  • 2 Community Beach Accesses (located at the end of Spyglass Rd. and Norbanks Rd)
  • *Community Pool (open mid-May thru late-September, 9 am to dusk) *Some homes offer community pool privileges (membership is optional to owners), please see the individual house page to see if this is included in your rental.
  • Sound Access at the sailing facility located on the Soundfront. At no charge, guests may launch small, non-motorized boats and sailboats. Parking is limited to loading or unloading.

COMMUNITY RESTRICTIONS

  • All items left on the beach or under/on walkways to beach before 6:30am and after 6:30pm are subject to confiscation as well as a civil penalty. Please take all beach gear back to your rental each night. 

Town of Duck - Tent/Chair/Shade Restrictions:

  • Set ups must allow for 15 feet, from the base of the dune, travel lane for emergency access and must not be closer than 10 feet to dune vegetation or turtle nest.
  • Set ups must not be closer than 50 feet, in any direction, from a lifeguard stand, emergency, or beach access.
  • Tents may not exceed 12x12, cannot be taller than 9 feet, cannot be tied together with another tent (unless they are perpendicular to the shore), must be spaced 10 feet from each other, and guy wires may not extend beyond the 12x12 max limit.
  • All shade structures must be secure.
