An updated ship's watch and back deck and lots of newly painted walls and ceilings await you at Family, Friends and Fun! This beach house is ideal for two families, with its two king master suites. Each king master suite has deck access and an ensuite bathroom  Two other nicely appointed bedrooms with new area rugs also have private bathrooms, with updated paint and vanity tops (Queen and Bunk room) and new flooring (bunk room bath). Add the friends and family and you have all the ingredients for a great week at the beach. A gas grill, patio and picnic table are all there so you have your choice to dine in or eat outside. The kitchen was recently remodeled with new cabinets, a tile backsplash and granite countertops. 

Ground Level: Newly reimagined recreation room with pool table, large 55" TV, stereo and laundry room. A large table is available for puzzles and games, outside patio area with gas grill and a picnic table.

Mid Level: A King Master Bedroom with a soaking tub ensuite, TV and stereo and a Queen Master Bedroom with shower/tub combo ensuite, TV and access to a newly refurbished private deck (2022). Also on this level is a kids bedroom equipped with a Bunk Set, Trundle, 2 Singles, a newly renovated private bathroom (2022), TV and deck access.  There are reading nooks on each half level.

Top Level: King Master Bedroom with soaking tub ensuite, TV and deck access. For family gatherings, the light and airy great room has vaulted ceilings, a large flat-screen TV, granite topped wet bar and stereo. A fully equipped kitchen, a dining room seating eight plus, a half bath, newly refurbished screened-in porch (2022), and access to the Ships Watch loft are all on this top level. Off the Ships' Watch is a newly renovated deck with lovely sunset views and seating for two. 

Extras: 6 flat-screen TVs, 2 Bluetooth Stereos, 2 reading nooks, high-speed wireless internet access, screened porch, gas grill, picnic table, pool table, book library, booster seat, pack-n-play, beach chairs, outdoor shower, TV trays, community water, linens and towels provided, trolley to beach during summer season and Corolla Light Community Amenities for 10 (Corolla Light is a private community that requires guests to wear wristbands to access community amenities). No Smoking. No Pets. Full week rentals only. Distance to beach access: 1135'. House Address: 1136 Morris Drive. Beds: 2 Kings, Queen, 2 Singles, Bunk Set, Trundle. Key Type: Keyless Entry. CHECK IN LOCATION: 1023 Ocean Trail, Corolla Office.

Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

We all loved Family. Friends, and Fun! The home was the perfect size for our families. It was decorated nicely and we loved the granite countertops and other updates. The beds were comfortable. Downstairs tv area and pool room were great. We were concerned about the walk to the beach and community pool but it was not a problem at all. We all agreed that this was a great house and we'd rent it again.

Nice property if you don't mind walking a block to the beach. Nice place for a family, plenty of bathrooms. Nice grill and beach chairs. Corolla light is a great location if you are active.

Family loved it! We loved the location on the resort lot, the size of the house, the bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, pool table, TV/DVD player in every room, great WiFi connection, house decor, gas grill, bikes, beach chairs, porches, and of course the resort as a whole. The walk to the beach is NOT long at all. We walked it every day. This was our first time staying on this island and at this resort and it definitely will not be our last. Our kids have already requested this house again for next year.

Corolla Light is a beautiful resort community made up of Oceanside and Soundside vacation homes along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The resort also features Oceanside townhouse style Villas, Mirage town homes and condos and Beacon Villas town homes.

Accessible only by wristbands issued at Check-in.

Number of wristbands are listed as “Corolla Light Amenities” on the property detail page. (If listed as “Corolla Light Amenities for 12”, you will receive 12 wristbands for 12 people including adults and children of all ages. At this time, no additional wristbands can be purchased)

Corolla Light Soundside Sports Center 

*2/1/23 - Corolla Light will be doing some extensive repairs to the indoor pool and hot tub (at the sports center) during the 2023 season and will not be available to guests at this time. Repairs are scheduled to start in March 2023 and continue until the end of the year.

*10/6/23 - Other indoor amenities (saunas, racquetball, ping pong and fitness/weight rooms) will remain available until January of 2024 at which time they will be closed for extensive renovations (indoor tennis courts will remain open). They are working to have all indoor sports center amenities available by March 2024.

(The Sports Center is open every day of the year except for Christmas Day. Hours vary by season.)

Resort Restrictions

  • No parking on the streets, all vehicles must fit in the driveway of the property.
  • No RV’s, ATV’s, campers, golf carts, gas or electric scooters, Segways or boats allowed in the community.
  • Trailers, boats (on trailer only), and jet skis (on trailer only) are allowed to be parked on the property ONLY if they fit in the “carport” or “under the house”. If the home has no space under it, it cannot be parked in the community.
  • No parking on grass or side of road.
  • Items left on the beach or under/on walkways to beach after sunset are subject to confiscation. Please take all beach gear back to your rental each night.
