COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Outer Banks: Ocean Sands Community

The miles of wide, soft-sandy beaches, dunes with sea oats and the lack of commercialization make Ocean Sands a favorite among many Outer Banks vacationers. Ocean Sands contains sections A-Q with wide, open spaces between many of the lettered sections of the subdivision allowing even the more distant Corolla beach house rentals to enjoy an ocean view.

Guests staying in Ocean Sands sections D, E, F, H, I, J, O,L, K M, N, Q or P will have access to a seven acre fishing lake abundant with water fowl, tennis courts in sections D, F, and H, quiet roads for walking or bike riding.

The community is near shopping, restaurants, golf, and water sports. All homes in these sections are on municipal water and sewer. Guests staying in Ocean Sands sections A, B and C have access to the beach accesses in sections A, B and C only and are not permitted to use the amenities in the other sections. Some homes in these sections remain on private wells while others have connected to municipal water and sewer.

NO MOTOR HOME or TRAILER PARKING within the community. NO GOLF CARTS, even if they’re street legal. After 11:00 pm loud noise and any disturbances are prohibited. 18 beach accesses located within the community.
