Now that the weather is improving and the days are getting longer, it’s time to strap on the running shoes and start getting ready for all the races being held this spring dn summer on the Outer Banks. There is no way that we can list all of them because there are so many, so we’ll just mention a few of the
There are two treat races coming up in May—the Outer Banks Duathlon on May 2nd and the 32nd running of the Nags Head Woods 5K on May 9.
The Duathlon, sponsored by Runcations, is a challenging 5k run, 20k bike and 5K run to finish. The course starts at Jennette’s Pier, and heads down to Bodie Island Lighthouse then back to finish with a 5K beach run. A challenging a beautiful course.
The Nags Head Wood 5K may be the most beautiful race on the Outer Banks. The course is a packed earth dirt road, there are a couple of small hills and the whole course is shaded. New this year, early risers can come early and get in a 10K race.
Runcations is a great resource for Outer Banks races. They're the folks that work with his here at Brindley Beach Vacations to hold our weekly Lighthouse 5k runs in Corolla. look for them every Wednesday morning in July and August.
