Kitty Hawk Kites Hang Gliding Specatacular, one of many Outer Banks May events.
May is just around the corner—it’s obvious because the weather is getting really nice here on the Outer Banks.
We have the 14th Annual Bike Week going on right now and there are a lot of bikers down and the weather is about as good as it could be—sunshine, temperatures in the 60s and low 70s.
Now that April is winding down, it’s time to look forward to look forward to next month and glancing over the event schedule there is little doubt things are really picking up.
There is something for everyone—some great 5Ks and other races, an art show and classical music with the Virginia Symphony. KidFest that Dare County Children and Youth Partnership put on every year is a wonderful time for preschoolers and parents. For adults, one of the most innovative evenings is Enchantment By The Sea – A Prom for Grown Ups at Sanctuary Vineyards in Jarvisburg.
We’ve gathered what we could of events for the month of May on the Outer Banks, but it’s a sure bet that we’ve missed a couple of things, so check back with us from time to time or check out some of the event listings at the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau or Currituck County Travel and Tourism.
