Easter on the Outer Banks is a special time. Everywhere we look we see Easter Egg hunts also known as Eggstravaganzas.

The kids find Easter Eggs, talk to a giant rabbit and go home and eat lots and lots of chocolate.

In many ways, Easter marks the transition point from early spring into the warmer, milder days leading to summer. The breeze is increasingly from the south, days are clearly getting longer and nights are not quite as cools as they had been.

It is a time of rebirth…of life renewed, which is at the heart of the religious meaning of the day.

For many families there is a tradition of beginning the holiday with an Easter Sunrise Service and on the Outer Banks there are a number of churches that offer services as the sun rises over the Atlantic Ocean.

Here at Brindley Beach Vacations we believe it’s important for people to worship when and how they please so we’ve compiled a list of Outer Banks churches that are offering sunrise services. We’re sure it’s not a complete list, but it’s a good starting point.

The forecast calls for a warm sunny day on Easter Sunday and even first thing in the morning the temperatures will be in the mid 60s.
