The famed scholar of humanities and author graces Ducks Cottage Coffee and Books in the spring to perform historical interpretations and speak to his insight on Renaissance English Literature. An amazing moment for any literary buff to experience, Clay Jenkinson has often been recognized for his role in documentaries such as The Roosevelts: An Intimate History.

Summer: Festival of Fireworks

The residents of Corolla take the celebration of American independence to new levels with a fun and vibrant 4th of July even not to be missed! Hosted annually at Corolla Park next to the Whalehead Club, this summer Outer Banks festival is one for the books. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, endless food vendors, multiple games and tournaments made for visitors of all ages. Firework displays start when the sun goes down with their spectacular colors best admired from a comfortable spot on the beach. Fall: Duck Jazz Festival

If jazz is your style and passion, the Duck Jazz Festival held every October in this charming town is not to be missed.
