Planning Your Visit
Built in 1870, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse includes a convenient visitor center and today is open to the public between April and Columbus Day for those ambitious travelers that are willing to take the 257-step trek from ground to top. While the journey may be taxing, the view is worth the effort.
