Castaway Avon is a very prominent semi-oceanfront home with 2nd tier oceanfront attributes including stunning ocean views and south views offering a good value at an excellent price. Save a little money by not renting Oceanfront and instead consider this property just a bit further. Located in the desirable Ocean Isle Estates subdivision, this house is designed and situated to provide open space and privacy. The lot runs directly parallel to the Oceanfront homes with no road in between, the closest beach access is directly out the rear pool gate past 2 houses. Castaway Avon is a pet-friendly home with new laminate flooring throughout, updated living room furnishings, updated king mattresses, updated air conditioning, and updated appliances. Located close enough to Avon shops to easily walk to the nearby coffee shop or local restaurants. Avon offers less crowded beaches and the sound is a mile drive west for incredible sunset views. This home sits on a higher lot, elevated from heavy rains and storms, with a vertical 4-level design, open floor plan, and elevator to all levels.

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a large driveway with easy access to the nearby indoor elevator. Carport, gas grill, and the fully gated south-facing private pool area with hot tub, picnic table, park-style charcoal grill, Built-to-Last furniture, outside shower, and fish cleaning bench. Around the corner is the rear pool gate that offers quicker access to the beach with no paved streets to cross, just a few unpaved driveways. Inside you’ll find elevator access to all levels, a recreation room with a pool table, a foosball table, patio access gated from the pool area, a half bath, and a kitchenette with cabinets, a sink, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator. The deck offers Built-to-Last furniture for your enjoyment. At night gaze south to catch the top of the Hatteras Lighthouse beacon.

PRIVATE POOL is open from May - October (Pool dates can be extended upon request for a $500 fee)
1 Dog Allowed ($200 Security Deposit required for 2 Dogs, Pit Bulls, and documented biters not allowed) 

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

SPARKLE CLUB: Guests will be able to arrive at their vacation home at 12:00 pm with access to the first level of the home and the pool area only (be advised the pool and spa may not be cleaned by noon, if the home offers a private pool). Please do not attempt to go to any other level in your vacation home until 4:00 pm check-in time. We have stationed a housekeeping professional in Sparkle Club homes from 10 am to 4 pm on each changeover day. The housekeeping team will continue their work until 4 pm to provide your family with extra cleaning for a special vacation! Prior to leaving at 4 pm the housekeeper will walk through the home with you to ensure your satisfaction.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Beautiful home! 8 bedrooms gave our family lots of room to spread out, as well as give everyone privacy. Close access to the beach made it easy to get to the ocean. The pool was amazing, clean, and refreshing! The elevator was very useful. Thank you for making it dog-friendly! We have to bring our family dog wherever we go.

Lovely, accommodating home

This house was everything we needed for a vacation we decided to take at the last minute. The great room, dining area, and kitchen were perfect for cooking, gathering, and our fierce, late night family card games. The ocean views from the 4th floor deck were as nice as in an oceanfront home. Each of the bedrooms was comfortable and having deck access made it easy to socialize with folks relaxing on the deck or in the pool and hot tub. We loved the little walk through the "woods" to the beach -- so charming! Best of all, we could bring our beach-loving dog who vastly prefers adventures with the family to being boarded at home. I would definitely rent this home again.

Large Family Vacation

We made our first ever visit to the Outer Banks and this rental was very accommodating in many ways. We had plenty of room for four families. The family gathering area and dining room were perfect. Very spacious!! We loved the proximity to the beach. We loved the pool area and hot tub. Especially for the younger kids. We spent a lot of time there. We had someone in our party that required the elevator and it broke down a few days in. Brindley was very accommodating and had the repairman there that day and fixed it. The kitchen was a bit small. However, as mentioned plenty of refrigerator space including an ice maker and additional refrigerators for drinks. The parking spaces were great since we had six cars. I will say that around the perimeter of the house there was some garbage laying around. Other than that, overall it was a fantastic place to stay for our first ever visit to the outer banks.!!

The home was everything we needed for my large family. They love the big space, pool, amenities, etc. It is close to stores but very quiet. Short walk to the beach which is not crowded at all. The pool was well maintained. Love all the seating on the upper deck. This was our second year in this home and we all look forward to visiting again.

The home was beautifully decorated. It had every we needed for a comfortable, fun vacation.. Pool and hot tub were well kept. They had extras beach chairs, carts, boogie boards, and a fishing rod. We were missing ot holders and BB got them to us almost immediately. The home had plenty of space/bedrooms for all. Living room and dining room accommodated our large party. Couches and living room table were awesome and comfy. Kitchen was a wee bit smaller but it had two dishwashers one refrigerator, two mini refrigerators and an ice maker. Kitchen was well stocked. I would definitely rent this home again.
