Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a carport and driveway that accommodates up to 6 vehicles, a storage area with two children's bikes and other beach gear, an air compressor, a basketball hoop, fish cleaning table,750ft to beach access, and an outdoor shower.

Mid Level: As you enter the home, you’ll find 4 bedrooms and laundry. Bedroom #1 is furnished with a king bed with an attached semi-private full bathroom, TV, and access to the wrap-around deck. Bedroom #2, the bunk room with two twin bunk beds is right down the hall and has hallway access to the full bathroom. Bedroom #3 is furnished with a queen bed and Bedroom #4 is furnished with a full bed. Bedrooms #3 and #4 have TVs and share a semi-private bathroom nestled between the rooms.

Top Level: The top floor offers a kitchen, a large dining area with two seating areas, and an open living area. The kids can enjoy time with their favorite board game while you relax with family and your favorite beverage, and the cooks for the day are still part of the gathering. The kitchen is equipped with all of the cookware you need to prepare your favorite meal. Access to the inviting ocean-facing sun deck with a picnic table & extra seating is located directly off the living area.

Extras: 4 flat-screen TVs, WiFi, traditional coffee maker, grill, outdoor shower, basketball hoop, ground-level storage area with beach gear, two children's bikes, air compressor, deck furniture, and a fish cleaning table. No Smoking/Vaping. Dogs Welcome. Distance to beach access: 750 feet. Beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Set of Twin Bunk Beds, 1 Full. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-in Location: At the Property.

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom,1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Clean, Close to Beach

We've been coming to OBX for many years, this was our second trip to Avon. A Bright Spot was terrific for our family of 6, and our dog. Clean, close to beach and a very short walk or drive to everything in Avon - and Avon has lots of outstanding restaurants and shops. Five stars.

We enjoyed our stay at 'A Bright Spot'. The house was setup with great kitchen necessities making it feel like home. Close to the beach and great neighbors around. We enjoyed spending a few minutes in the hot tub on several occasions. The cover was easy off/on and helped keep the water clean. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect Family Getaway

We vacation at OBX every year, but this was our first time to bring a dog and 'A Bright Spot' was the perfect house for our family. The house was clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for 8 adults. The beach and dunes were an easy walk from the house and the hot tub was the best way to unwind after a long day. Avon and Hatteras have a lot to offer without the noise and traffic of other OBX towns. We plan to return! Thank you, Shore Details Management!

We had a fantastic relaxing vacation with our family of 6, which included our grown children and their s/o and our little dogs. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The AC worked well. Water pressure in the showers was good also. Avon Beach was close and inviting. We enjoyed walking on the sandbar at night with flashlights to look at crabs, shrimp, fish and hermit crabs. Walking to the muffin and scone shop was delightful in the morning. We had a delicious meal out at Pangea. The dishwasher and microwave worked but could use a replacement soon. Overall, 'A Bright Spot' was a great place to relax and unwind.

Peaceful Ocean Stay

A Bright Spot was a lovely beach house for our large group to stay in. There was a kitchen table large enough for everyone to sit around for dinner and best of all, there were tons of seating options in the living space. :) The beds had linens and several comfy pillows to choose from which is great because everyone has different preferences for pillows. The walk to the beach was super easy and didn't involve crossing any main roads, which was great! The hot tub was nice and secluded on the side of the house. The outdoor shower downstairs was always amazing after a day on the sand. We had muffins and scones across the street, which has free WIFI and delicious food, so that was also an option to use for working. Overall we had a great stay at this home and would recommend to others for a group beach trip. :)
