Virginia Dare is a well-appointed semi-oceanfront home. This spacious getaway spot offers 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 2 half baths, and beach access less than 100 yards away. The fun does not stop after a day at the beach… enjoy the private pool, and hot tub, or unwind on the sundecks to watch the ocean waves. Centrally located, you’re within 2 miles of sightseeing, shopping, restaurants, art galleries, museums, and the Avon Fishing Pier. Don’t forget your 4-legged family member!

Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a private pool, outdoor shower, carport, driveway for up to 5 vehicles, fish cleaning station, and grill. As you enter the home from the dry carport entry, you are greeted by the fully loaded game room with a convenient half bathroom. The game room boasts a pool table, dart board, foosball, cable TV, and wine cooler. Bedroom #1 is on this level, furnished with 2 Twin Bunk Beds… perfect for the little ones in your group! Access to the private saltwater pool area is directly off the game room.

Mid Level: You will find 3 spacious ocean-facing bedrooms, each with cable TV and direct access to the covered ocean-facing deck with a hot tub and swing. Bedroom #2 is furnished with Two Twin Beds & Bedroom #3 is equipped with a Queen Bed. Bedrooms #2 and #3 share a spacious full bathroom located off the hallway. Bedroom #4 is a King Bedroom with an ensuite private full bathroom. The laundry area is also located on this level.

Top Level: You are greeted by ocean views in all corners of the great room through the expansive ocean-facing windows. The great room boasts cathedral ceilings, plenty of seating for the entire family, and access to south and east-facing sun decks. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with all the cookware you might need to prepare your favorite meal, expansive granite counters, and a breakfast bar that seats 4. With two separate dining areas, there is seating for 12 so the entire family can enjoy a meal together at the end of a busy day. Bedroom #5 is located off the great room with a King Bed and spacious attached full bathroom. A half bath is located on this level as well.

Extras:  Private pool, hot tub, shared tennis courts, 5 flat-screen cable TVs, WiFi, Keurig, grill, outdoor shower, deck furniture, fish cleaning table, pack-n-play, high chair, pool table, and foosball. No Smoking/Vaping. Dogs Welcome. Distance to beach access: 300 feet. Beds: 2 King, 1 Queen, 2 Set of Twin Bunk Beds, 2 Twins. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-in Location: At the Property.
 

PRIVATE POOL is open from April - October 
Pool Heat is an additional $500 per week

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

This house is in a great location with a very nice and relatively quiet beach right next to it. The neighborhood is very nice, well maintained and the views from the house are very nice. Services are close by, and with 20-25 minutes drive you can reach many more restaurants etc. both northbound and southbound.. The house itself is very functional, and was very clean. The pool is very large, and worth knowing is that it is waist high only. We would suggest updating/-grading the kitchen, furnishings, decks (also by the pool) and the lighting fixtures (how lighting worked and the light shades were quite confusing). Thanks for a great stay!

Our family had a great stay. The house is clean and furnished well. Kitchen is equipped with EVERYTHING! We were located near stores and activities. And the beach was right across the street. Definitely want to return!!.

We had such a great stay in 'Virginia Dare'. Three families, each with kids, stayed and we all had plenty of space. Between all of the deck space, the pool, and the game room in the basement, the kids had a great time and stayed entertained. The best part of this house is the easy access to the beach. The beach is just steps away. You can see and hear the relaxing sounds of the ocean from the deck. The house itself contained anything and everything you could think of that you might need. We cooked all of our meals there and had everything, and more in the kitchen. We will definitely be back!

You will love the great views from the fantastic porches! The porch furniture is comfortable and good quality; we spent so much time on the porches! You are so close to the beach, right across from the boardwalk. Fantastic, not crowded beach, but strong winds and currents- loved by the kite surfers, but parents of young children need to stay close. Loved this area!

Boardwalk to the beach is right out the front door! Held 10 people comfortably. Lots of great cooking tools and utensils, plus two refrigerators. Definitely would return!

Excellent stay. Excellent house and location. Everything was very clean. Curtain rod pulled out of the wall when I pushed the curtains open but not a big deal. Pool and hot tub were excellent. Would recommend and come back!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at 'Virginia Dare' on our first trip to the Outer Banks! Avon was perfect and the house was a great location right across from beach access with a road to ride our bikes right out in front. Enjoyed the upstairs living room/kitchen area and decks galore with an ocean view! Swimming pool and hot tub were both great and quick access to restaurants, grocery store, shops, everything we could have wanted!

Our family was thrilled with the accommodations - it was perfect for our group of 9 which included senior citizens, kids, adults and a dog. The pool is nice and being one row over from the beach blocks the wind but still provides a view. We are already checking dates to come back!
