Tangled up in Blue is a trendy semi-oceanfront home conveniently located to all Avon Village has to offer. With 4 spacious bedrooms, a private saltwater pool, hot tub, game room, fire pit, and elevator...this house has it all! Listen to the waves crash from the ocean-facing decks or take in the spectacular Hatteras Island night sky around the fire pit. You're less than 50 feet from the community beach access and the pristine beaches of Hatteras Island. Tangled up in Blue is dog-friendly!

Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a private saltwater pool, hot tub, flat top gas grill, fire pit with seating for 8, a carport and parking area for up to 3 vehicles, and an outdoor shower. As you enter the ground level of the house, you are provided with a game room, two full bathrooms, and two bedrooms. The game room offers a foosball table, Smart TV, mini fridge, microwave, a seating area with a Queen futon, and access to the covered deck. Bedrooms #1 and #2  each have a Queen bed and a lofted Twin bed.

Mid Level: On the middle level you will find bedrooms #3 and #4, each furnished with a King bed, Smart TVs, and direct access to an ocean-facing deck. Each king bedroom has a private ensuite full bath with an oversized tile shower.

Top Level: The top floor features an open floor plan with a fresh modern style, a half bath, and a furnished deck for stargazing. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar that seats 6, spacious quartz countertops, and all of the cookware you might need to prepare your favorite meal. The dining area comfortably seats 8, so everyone can gather at the end of a busy day. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating, a smart TV, and direct access to the ocean-facing deck.

Extras: Private saltwater pool, hot tub, elevator, fire pit, 4 flat screen Smart TVs, WiFi, drip coffee maker, flat top gas grill, outdoor shower, covered deck, sun decks, deck furniture, and foosball. No Smoking/Vaping. Dogs Welcome. Distance to beach access: 45 feet. Beds: 2 King, 2 Queen, 2 Twin, 1 Queen Futon. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-in Location: At the Property.

PRIVATE POOL is open from April - October 
Pool Heat is an additional $500 per week

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Almost Perfect House

This is a lovely house for our first stay in Avon. We have used Brindley for decades and will always use them. This house is perfect for the times when you have a relatively small group. Our 5 adults and 2 children had more than enough room to spread out and be comfortable. The equipment in the home was great for our needs. It was a tad early in the season for the pool but the hot tub was lovely. I have never rented a beach house that did not have beach chairs so I didn't bother to bring any since we were a small group and was disappointed to find that none were included with the house. We purchased and donated three for the benefit of the next renters. The listing also shows the house having a wood burning fireplace and both a charcoal and gas grill. There is no fireplace of any kind nor is there a charcoal grill. The gas grill is actually a Blackstone griddle. Nice, but not for grilling. The other negative aspect of the house was the elevator. With a knee injury awaiting surgery, I was happy to find a home with an elevator and upon arrival discovered it only accessed the landings between floors. At least I only needed to walk up and down two half flights of stairs between the ground and the main level. The house is clean and well kept and I would recommend it.

Our family of 6 Adults, 3 children and 2 dogs enjoyed everything about the house. The design of the house is very accommodating and we never felt cramped. The kids really enjoyed the lower kid level with video games, their own pint sized refrigerator and foosball. The pool was a hit every afternoon after a morning at the beach and we cooked s’mores over the campfire one night. We had a family member on crutches so the elevator and master bedroom walk in shower was an asset. We enjoyed the location of the house and walked to the coffee shop every morning. The area is quiet and very family friendly. The swinging bed is a great location for an afternoon nap. With multiple decks our family was able to spread out and read in the shade. The house was very clean upon our arrival and you can tell it is very well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, the washer and dryer are great and the hot water heater works like a charm. Thank you for sharing your amazing house with us. We already booked for next year and look forward to making more summer memories.

The kitchen was well equipped and we loved cooking on the gas range. The pool, hot tub and pool deck were very nice. The elevator was a real bonus for getting our luggage to the bedrooms and the groceries from the ground floor to top floor.

We LOVED our stay at 'Tangled Up in Blue'! The owners did a phenomenal job designing and decorating the home. Our teen daughters thought the first floor was the jam. The foosball table, the mini fridge, their own bathrooms, direct access to the pool area, they definitely thought they were cool. My 5 year old loved the bed swing and I loved the top deck. Such a great view! We even had a fire and made s’mores!

Our family of four plus our dog, had a lovely stay over spring break. House has everything you could want or need with well-thought out details. Beach is a short walk over the dunes and the pool was lovely. One of the nicest rentals we have ever had the opportunity to stay in.

This is our second visit to 'Tangled up in Blue', and it did not disappoint! The three decks make the most of the view and lounging on the hanging bed is amazing! The pool, hot tub, and firepit make for great days and nights while the beach is across the street! The rooms are comfortable with great beds! The kitchen is outfitted with a cook in mind, even though there are multiple restaurants within walking distance! The owners have thought of everything, so whether its adults only, families with kids, or you want to bring the pups, everything is there. This will not be our last visit and I highly recommend this unique property.

Happy at BLUE!! Awesome!! New home, clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, great pool, short walk to the beach, easy biking/walking to restaurants, and gorgeous views from every window!! We absolutely loved everything that 'Tangled Up in Blue' (TUIB) had to offer. It was the perfect size for my family of four and my parents. Our dog Dax even felt right at home. It is located really close to a public walkway that led up to a fantastic area of beach. My kids loved playing in the tidal pools that appeared at high tide there. The walk was pretty easy to the beach, but we’ve learned how to haul most things on our backs. We loved having the pool to lounge around in before or after going to the beach too. The condition of the house was wonderful. All in all, it was the perfect get-away for my family. We felt right at home.

'Tangled Up In Blue' is a beautiful beach house! The kitchen has all of the tools you need to prepare a meal. The house is perfectly described in the listing. The house is convenient to shops and groceries. The only negative thing we have to say, is that the poolside lounge chairs are not adjustable and a bit uncomfortable.

Impeccably clean - and contemporary beach home. Even the minor needs were thought of right now to a fully equipped modern kitchen. There really isn’t a negative about the home - I’d love to build one like it! Loved the decor - loved the modern space saving design - hot tub, pool, two true masters with double showers! Even the third and fourth bedrooms had their own bathrooms! This is a rare find, and hate to brag about it, because I think it’s a gem and want it to be there for me next year. If I have to do one thing different about the design, it would be to put something under the third floor deck to direct rain from the second floor deck. This is only because there is an awesome hanging sun “bed” on the second floor deck that we had to wait to dry out a few days after our rainy vacation start!

What a nice property! Well maintained, great location with direct access to the beach. It's got it all - from a pool, to a hot tub, to a fire pit, gas grill, a private elevator to load in and out, and ample parking. We loved the place!

It is a great location, secluded and quiet. The house layout is great for multiple adults, multiple couples or families with young children. It was clean and had everything we needed to start our time away. The décor and furnishings were very stylish and comfortable. Having a balcony on each floor was a plus, as well as the elevator. We would absolutely rent again.

The house and location were perfect for our family vacation. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach, and the top deck had a view of the ocean. Very clean and modern decor with all you need during your stay! We would definitely consider staying again in the future.

This house was great for our family of 4. Amenities were accurately described in the listing, and everything was super clean and in good working order. The beds are very comfortable and it’s surprisingly quiet between bedrooms — our only wish was for some window coverings on the smallest windows in those rooms. The best part of this property is the convenient beach access just steps away from your front door, and the beautiful ocean view from the upstairs deck - all of which made for a lovely stay!

What an amazing house! Love the location, easy access to the beach, easy drive to supermarket (we eat a lot), we walked to Wings. At first we thought the elevator was a nice gimmick, but after a bunch of times going up/down, it was VERY useful. Would love to come back!

Great property! We would definitely stay here again. Our family of 7 was very comfortable here. The elevator was great for getting luggage and groceries up and down. Our favorite part was on hanging bed on the 2nd floor deck.

This property is just as advertised, modern and open, comfortable beds, clean, sparkling pool, and a short walk to the beach. It was the perfect place to stay with my dogs, my parents and my husband and his parents. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Also, Avon is quiet but has enough restaurants and coffee shops and places to walk to - best of both worlds.
