Take Me A Wave is an oceanside family favorite with soothing ocean and sound views. Take Me A Wave is conveniently located in Hatteras Village and only 100 yards from the community beach access with a well-maintained wooden walkway over the dunes. Enjoy a large private pool area, an 8-person hot tub, and a game room, or unwind on the sundecks to watch the ocean waves or sunset over the Pamlico Sound. Don't forget your four-legged friend... Take Me A Wave is dog-friendly!

Ground Level: Ground-level amenities include a private pool deck with lounge furniture, gas grills, and a picnic table. After an adventurous day of exploring, guests can take a refreshing outside shower, or simply relax on the screened-in porch with comfortable sectional seating. A picnic table, a covered deck with a new hot tub, and a tiki bar overlooking the private pool round out this "hot spot" where every day feels like a holiday. Another bonus is a carport and driveway that accommodates up to 6 vehicles for easy access to the house. As you enter the home from the carport entry you will find a full bathroom, a spacious game room with a foosball table, a full-size refrigerator, a large Roku TV, a stereo system, and plenty of seating. A laundry closet with a full-size washer and dryer is nestled on this level. Access to the pool area, covered deck, hot tub, screen room, and outside shower are directly off this level.

Mid Level: This level offers 4 roomy bedrooms equipped with Roku TVs and direct covered deck access. Bedroom #1 is a Large King bedroom with an en suite full bathroom and a private covered deck. Bedroom # 2 is a King bedroom with en suite access to the shared hallway full bathroom. Bedroom #3 is furnished with an oversized King with an ensuite full bathroom. Bedroom #4 is furnished with two sets of Twin bunk beds. Bedrooms #2 and # 4 share the full hallway bathroom.

Top Level: As you make your way to the top floor, you will enter the bright and airy great room which provides ocean and sound views, ample seating, a Samsung Smart TV with a sound bar, books, a puzzle and game table, a half bathroom, and access to the furnished sun decks. The chef’s kitchen is well equipped with stainless appliances, spacious granite countertops, plenty of cookware, a breakfast bar that seats 4, and a dining table that seats 8. Off the great room, you will find bedroom #5, a generous primary King suite with an ocean view private deck, Roku TV, and an attached private full bath.

Extras: Private pool, hot tub, tiki bar, gas grills, outside shower, 7 Smart TVs, WiFi, foosball table, 2 sound systems, laundry closet, books, games, covered decks, sun decks, deck furniture, and parking for 6 vehicles. No Smoking/Vaping. Dogs Welcome. Distance to beach access: 300 feet. Beds: 4 Kings and 2 Twin bunk Beds. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-In Location: At the Property.

Pool Heat is an additional $500 per week

Linens and towels are provided all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to the guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

We have 2 adults, 1 child, and a dog for the main part of our stay. House was clean upon arrival. All the bedrooms are good size and come with King beds with the exception of the "kids" room that had 4 bunks. It appears flooring was relatively new and appliances, as well. Nice view of Sound and Ocean from upstairs. Only a short walk down the driveway to the beach access directly across the street. Hot tub location was nice as it was somewhat protected from the weather and our child loved the pool. It was worth it to have the pool heat as I got to do a before and after. As previously mentioned in other reviews, the driveway did flood. Other than making trash takeout harder, it didn't cause any real issues. Only other issue during our stay was handled quickly and resolved by early the morning following our arrival. We paid to have the pool heated, and it wasn't turned on when we arrived. They sent the pool maintenance to fix the following morning and the pool was heated by early afternoon..

We just got back from a fantastic week at this house and all we can say is it was perfect! We were 4 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs. The house is huge with plenty of room for all, pool, hot tub, plenty of kitchen tools and gadgets, balconies galore for picturesque views of sunrises, sunsets, and a canopy of stars. Walk to the end of the driveway, across the street, and up the ramp and you are at the beach. Plenty of local shops, stores, outfitters within a mile or two in either direction (although for pizza or the supermarket you are driving ;) ). This was our first trip to Hatteras I’m sure we’ll be Booking Take Me A Wave again!!! Thanks for a great stay!

This home was more beautiful in person! The recent updates were tastefully done, the home was very clean upon arrival. The management company was extremely responsive to questions I had prior to our trip. Every room has a balcony and almost every room has a bathroom attached. The pool area was great - plenty of chairs, lots of space. The house was a short drive to the market, general store and a short walk to the ice cream shop. I would highly recommend this property and the company that manages it!!

The house is beautiful and the views from the main living area are wonderful. The living/dining area is spacious with a large dining table and very comfy furniture. We loved that each bedroom has access to a balcony. The master bedroom is extremely comfortable and all rooms were very clean. Excellent location, close to the ferry to Ocracoke and convenient to several seafood restaurants. Easy walk on a sidewalk to the ice cream and sandwich shops. Enjoyed the beach that is only steps away! A few of us drove past the property upon arrival. The house is set back from the road, so trust your GPS and be sure to turn down the long driveway. One reviewer pointed out that the driveway floods after every rain. This is true but we didn't find it to be a problem. It wasn't too deep to drive through and when walking to nearby businesses, it is more convenient to go through the back yard to the sidewalk.

Our group of 10 loves this house. It’s a beautiful house, and where it sits you can see the ocean and the sound. Absolutely lovely. We loved the pool and the hot tub. Pretty living area too. Everything was awesome!

Location was perfect. Beautiful views from the many decks. Pool wasn't initially heated, but someone came out same day I called. The towels were thin, and could have used more dish towels. The dishwasher stopped working after 2 days, and owner replacing it after we left, so won't be an issue for future renters. Overall, the house was great for our family with 3 young kids. Shore Details was great to work with!

'Take Me A Wave'

What a great vacation! This place has it all. I am always worried when I book a place from pictures and reviews, but this place did not disappoint. We were traveling with three families and needed space for everyone. 'Take Me A Wave' has three master bedrooms, two kid bedrooms, and plenty of bathrooms. The king beds are very comfortable and there is enough hot water for everyone to shower without running out. As for the amenities, all I can say is WOW! The pool is big and clean, the hot tub is on a porch so you can use it in all weather. There were beach chairs galore, and the kitchen is fully stocked for any type of cooking you might want to do. Seriously, we cooked almost every meal there and found every sort of pan or kitchen tool we needed. There is a dual coffee pot for carafes and k-cups, two toasters, a waffle maker, blender, crockpot, hand mixer, and griddle. As for location, it is not beachfront, but pretty darn close. We had great views from the third floor, and a three minute walk to the beach. The driveway is directly across from the beach access. There is an ice cream shop and deli within walking distance and a few stores and restaurants within a mile or two. We did have a couple of minor issues that we reported through email, and the response was almost immediate. If you are worried or on the fence about this place, don't hesitate, book it! I know we would love to come back. It was one of the most memorable and relaxing vacations I have been on.

This house was perfect for our group. Quiet, plenty of amenities, and enough king-sized bedrooms for the couples. The open floorplan of the kitchen, dining, and living rooms makes it easy for everyone to be included in conversations. Plenty of deck space to either have small groups chatting or find a private corner to read. The kitchen was well-appointed with the exception of needing more larger sized serving bowls for family dinners. This house is comfortable, beautiful and mid to upper scale.

The property was wonderful. We paid to have the pool heated and it was worth every penny. The 1 and 4 year olds were in every day though some days the temps were in the 60's. The "great room" was fabulous. Loved the place and hope to go back! Also, we were unsure about the proximity to the beach. It was perfect as everyone needs to use the boardwalk entrances to protect the dunes.
