Enjoy unbelievably beautiful sunsets, sound views and bird life from Heron's Walk. Enjoy your morning coffee on the private dock or end your day watching the sunset over the sound and stargazing in the clear night sky. Located just a short walk on a nature trail from one of the nicest Outer Banks beaches. Bring your small sailboat or kayak to launch from the private dock of this charming home. 

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a private dock with seating, enclosed outside shower and entry level with elevator (to levels 1 and 2 only)

Mid Level: Great room with sound views, flat-screen TV/DVD, vaulted ceilings and deck access. Dining Area with seating for 6, large tiled kitchen with breakfast bar seating 4. 2 Queen Master Bedrooms with TV/DVD (1 with wide doors and a spacious bathroom with large, roll-in shower). Office, full hall bathroom, laundry with washer and dryer and a spiral stairway to the top level. 

Top Level: Queen Master Bedroom with private bathroom, Master Bedroom with 2 Singles, TV and private bathroom and loft area with game table seating 4. 

Extras: ELEVATOR (to levels 1 and 2 only), 4 TVs, 2 DVD players, handicap friendly (features include: roll in shower, rail for tub/shower/toilet, elevator, wide doorways), Keurig coffee maker, picnic table, charcoal grill, enclosed outside shower, gas fireplace, soundfront dock, high speed internet, linens and towels provided and Sanderling community pool and tennis privileges. No Smoking. No Pets. Beds: 3 Queens, 2 Singles. House Address: 1472 Duck Road, Duck. Key Type: Keyless entry. CHECK IN LOCATION: 1213-C Duck Road, Duck Office. 

Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Lovely home. Beautiful view of the sound. Kids enjoyed kayaking and wading/swimming in the sound. It is about a ten minute walk to the beach. We found the beach to be uncrowded and very nice. Two cons: No ladder or steps down from dock into the water made launching kayaks a challenge. I thought the spiral staircase was a bit dangerous for young children (no fault of the homeowner, just something to think about if you are vacationing with younger children.)

The sunsets from this property are incredible! We looked forward to a sunset cocktail on the dock each evening. The little boys loved fishing off the dock. This home had everything we needed and was fully equipped to handle our Thanksgiving cooking. We hope to be back soon!

Sanderling Community Restrictions

  • Motorbikes, ATVs, Golf Carts and motor homes/campers are prohibited and may not be parked or stored in the community.
  • Jet skis and wave runners may not be used, operated, launched, retrieved, tied up at any dock, moored in the sound or ocean, parked or stored anywhere in the community.
  • Items left on the beach or under/on walkways to beach after sunset are subject to confiscation. Please take all beach gear back to your rental each night.
