Where to Watch New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Outer Banks?
The best spot for fireworks will be Midnight Magic in Manteo. The waterfront or anywhere downtown will be the best viewing spot. The event brings in thousands of people, so be sure to come early and secure a spot.
Jockeys Ridge State Park also offers great viewing for fireworks shows if you prefer a quieter vantage spot.
Prefer not to go out for New Year’s? Visit a local fireworks stand for some sparklers, then head to the beach for your own countdown celebration. Just remember to properly dispose of any trash so we can keep our beaches clean for sea turtles and other beachgoers.
Kickstart Your New Year’s Resolutions
If your New Year's resolutions involve being more mindful, focusing on family time, or incorporating healthy habits, the OBX is the perfect place to start. When you wake up in your Brindley Beach vacation rental on January 1, spend a quiet moment on the balcony journaling or making a list of all the things you're grateful for. Mindfulness and gratitude work are a great way to center yourself and start your day.
Later, take a walk along the beach for some easy movement. And at night, put the phones and screens away and have a family game night where everyone is intentional and present.
New Year’s resolutions have a better chance at becoming habits if you start small and incorporate little pieces of larger practices. These three things fit perfectly into your holiday vacation and are easy to carry with you once you return home.
