Not only is this home located in a quiet court with a short walk to the beach, tennis, basketball, fitness center or sound side pond, BUT it’s also right next to the county path that runs along Route 12 all the way to the 4 wheel drive ramp leading to the wild horse area where the paved roads end. This year let “Castle in the Sand spoil your family with sunsets on the back deck and lighthouse views from the front yard.

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a fully gated private pool, fenced yard with gas grill, poolside bar, hot tub and outside shower. Inside is the Rec Room with pool table, flat-screen TV, multi-cade arcade game, beverage refrigerator and the laundry area with washer and dryer. Queen Bedroom with flat-screen TV and a semi-private full bathroom (second door from bathroom to hallway).

Mid Level: Queen Bedroom with flat-screen TV and private deck access shares a Jack-n-Jill full bath with a Bedroom with a Bunk Set, flat-screen TV and desk with monitor. Queen Bedroom with flat-screen TV, desk with 2 monitors that shares a Jack-n-Jill full bath with a Bedroom with a DuoBunk, flat-screen TV and private deck access.

Top Level: Great room with flat-screen TV/DVD and Queen Sleep Sofa.  Kitchen with counter seating for 4 and extra beverage refrigerator. Dining area seating 8 with screen porch access and a half bath. King Master Bedroom with flat-screen TV and private bathroom with whirlpool tub.

Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: After booking, you will receive an email with instructions to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your online payment within 3 days, to avoid cancellation. During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. *Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 3 days to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

The kids had a lot of fun, they were never bored. We used the pool, game room, basketball court, walked to the lighthouse, went to the shops, there is so much to do in Corolla.

Awesome house and great location - house was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Hot tub & pool were very enjoyable. Access to Ocean Hills beach very convenient to either walk or drive . My grandchildren especially enjoyed the pool by the fitness center and turtle pond - large shallow area for the little ones! We were also within walking distance to Old Corolla Village, Lighthouse and the wild horse area. Lots to do and see. I highly recommend this house and location.

Spacious and clean! Community amenities were a plus! Great family getaway house. The extra bit of a drive up to Corolla was worth it - not crowded for mid-June! Still lots to do in the area. We enjoyed the community amenities! Beach access was very short drive and easy to get to. Note: kitchen was very well stocked with kitchenware, but spice rack, etc. was empty. Bring spices from home if you are going to cook. Would highly recommend this house if water view is not essential!

Castle in the sand was the perfect house for our adult only vacation. The kitchen was well stocked and furniture was sturdy. The pool was the perfect size for a few couples. 5 minute drive to the 4x4 beach. Check in was a breeze. Bedrooms were all in great shape and great sizes. Washer and dryer was in excellent working condition.

Fantastic house perfect for spring break - it has everything- heated pool, hot tub, game room. We had a blast - less than half a mile to the 4x4 beach access and right next to the Corolla Adventure Park. I bookmarked this one to stay again next year!

The best vacation we could have imagined. Property was fantastic and as advertised. Perfect for all ages. The children loved being able to stretch out in their own rooms. The pool and hot tub were cleaned while we were there, and the technician was friendly and pleasant and made quick work to not intrude. Short, scenic walk to the beach. Everything else could have dreamed in a vacation, we found in the Castle in the Sand. 100% satisfied and would recommend anyone having a first family vacation to look into this property. This will be one of our options for next year. This place will always hold a special spot in our hearts. Thank you for such a great experience.

This was a great family spot for our beach vacation. Plenty of room for everyone, full kitchen, pool and hot tub. We had a few maintenance issues when we first arrived but we called customer service and they came out to fix it right away. Very pleased.

This beach house is perfect for your family to truly enjoy all Corolla has to offer. The house is spacious, clean, plenty of room for big (or small) families, fun for kids, and great if you have pets! The house has a fenced in yard for your furry family members, which is very convenient. The amenities were amazing - our toddler loved being able to walk to the community park right behind the house every morning. Beach access is a short ride across the street, but also walkable. You can also easily get to the lighthouse, Carova beach, shopping and restaurants in just a few minutes. We will definitely be staying here every summer for our family vacation!! Highly recommend!!

Castle in the Sand has it ALL!!! We loved the house! Perfect for kids, parents ,Grandparents , Dogs…. It is in a prime location with so many things to do!!! Plenty of grass for the dogs to get walked! Pool, hot tub, Tiki Bar, community pools, parks, volleyball, pickle ball courts, fitness center, adventure park, the beach close by, shopping so close by, golf, arcades, great places to eat….it really has it all! The house had plenty of rooms, beds and bathrooms…decks, computer hook ups, a Hammock and furniture on decks and a screened in porch!!! Everybody had such a blast and we were even close to where we could drive on the beach and got to see the famous Wild Horses!!! Amazing!!! So much fun! I can't say enough about this house and its perfect location! I will stay here every time we come to the OBX!!! If it's available!!! I'm sure it books up fast every year! We are grateful to the owners for allowing us to stay in “Castle in the Sand”!!! 5 Stars for sure!!!!

There was twelve of us off and on thru the week. Best weather we have ever had during our stay. The house was great, the porches always had a breeze and loved the landscaping and pools area. We had two older dogs that had a hard time with the stairs but other than that everything was great. Kitchen was fully equipped and we did not have to use any of the stuff we always bring just in case. Also like being across from the fitness center, tennis courts and pickleball courts too.

It was my first trip to the OBX and it was during the off-season. We needed a place that accommodated dogs and were looking for a place to kind of get off the grid for a bit. Well this place had everything. It was extremely spacious with multiple levels, a game room, washer/dryer, grill, pool (off season so it was understandably closed), hot tub, and just a beautiful place in general. We were able to find places to eat nearby that were great, Uncle Ikes and Corolla Cantina to name a few and grocery shopping was also nearby. We wanted to see the wild horses and .... well... they were literally walking around the development 2 of the 4 mornings we spent. While they were rounded up and returned to their safe natural habitat, it was amazing to hear them nearby and see them close. This place would be ideal for a larger multifamily trip. In fact, the people that stayed there before us seemed to have a good time for Thanksgiving based on the recycling left out in front for pick up when we arrived. All in all, I would recommend this place 10 out of 10 times.
