Sue's Seahouse will have your family ready for an action packed vacation! Located right next to the community pool and within walking distance to the town of Duck and all of the activities, this is the perfect location for your family!

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a basketball hoop, outside shower, picnic table and grilling area with a park style charcoal grill. Inside you'll find a Queen Bedroom with TV/VCR and laundry area with table seating 5, mini-refrigerator, half bath and washer and dryer.

Mid Level: Queen Master Bedroom with flat-screen TV and deck access, full hall bath, Queen Bedroom with TV/DVD, Queen Bedroom with TV and deck access and a Bedroom with 2 Bunk Sets.

Top Level: Great room with flat-screen TV/Blu-Ray DVD/VCR, wood fireplace and deck access, full hall bath, kitchen with counter seating 5 and the dining area with 2 tables seating a total of 13 and deck access.

Extras: 5 TVs, VCR, 2 DVD players (1 Blu-Ray), high-speed internet, books, games, Video/DVD libraries, basketball hoop, outside shower, charcoal grill, picnic tables, mini-refrigerator, electric fireplace, linens and towels provided and community pool and tennis. Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

This program offers guests a variety of activities that include discounted golf access, wild horse tours, golf lessons and clinics, and shuttle service to the club from your rental home. The K Club will also have a full time concierge to assist in planning your activities. Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. You will receive an email 24 hours after booking with instructions to log on to guest web to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment. You will have 10 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance payment to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Sues Seahouse is a great place to stay for families and friends. Amazing large top floor open concept with a brand new kitchen, lots of entertainment, tons of beach gear, and large bedrooms. We will be happy to stay again!

For our first time at the OBX we really liked the house and location. The kids loved going to the community center. We loved that we could take our dog on the beach with us. Another huge plus was being so close to the boardwalk on the Sound which is beautiful. We cannot wait to go back again

This house was perfect in so many ways. We were just across the street from the community center so we could easily go over to play on the playground or use the other facilities. It is very close to the boardwalk which is amazing at Duck. There are so many shops and restaurants and nature areas, you could spend the whole week there! The house itself was very pretty and had lots of outside space to relax and the upstairs was huge and open and great for relaxing after a long day. All the beds were comfortable and not having to worry about the linens or pay extra for them is great. We also really loved the pool at the beach. We would play in the sand and the waves, and then we could cool off with a dip in the pool and still hear the ocean and see it from the gazebo. It was awesome!

Schooner Ridge Recreation Center

121 Schooner Ridge Drive (252-261-6774) – Accessible by wristbands available at the Recreation Center.

Clubhouse Hours: (Mem-Labor Day) M-F 8:30am-7:30pm, Sat-Sun 10:00am-4:00pm; (Off-season) M-F 9:00am-6:00pm, Sat-Sun 10:00am-4:00pm. No lifeguards on duty at any pool, swimming is always at your own risk. Children under age 12 are not allowed in any pools without a parent or guardian.

Parking passes are required Memorial Day-Labor Day and Wristbands are required to be worn when using ALL amenities, including accessing the beach via the walkway.

Schooner Ridge Community Restrictions

  • Renters are not permitted to operate golf carts, mopeds, or any other unlicensed and/or unregistered motor vehicles. 
  • Golf carts are to be parked in a designated parking space, display a parking pass, and must be driven by a licensed driver.  
  • RVs, trailers and boats are NOT permitted within the community, unless they fit COMPLETELY in the garage or carport.
  • On-street parking is strictly prohibited.
  • All items left on the beach or under/on walkways to beach before 6:30am and after 6:30pm are subject to confiscation as well as a civil penalty. Please take all beach gear back to your rental each night. 

  • Town of Duck - Tent/Chair/Shade Restrictions:

    • Set ups must allow for 15 feet, from the base of the dune, travel lane for emergency access and must not be closer than 10 feet to dune vegetation or turtle nest.
    • Set ups must not be closer than 50 feet, in any direction, from a lifeguard stand, emergency, or beach access.
    • Tents may not exceed 12x12, cannot be taller than 9 feet, cannot be tied together with another tent (unless they are perpendicular to the shore), must be spaced 10 feet from each other, and guy wires may not extend beyond the 12x12 max limit.
    • All shade structures must be secure.
